National Grid asked for a one-year 156.5 million dollar gas delivery increase (29.7 percent) for its upstate New York territory. The PSC's three-year joint proposal cut the first-year gas increase by 63 percent to 57.4 million dollars, rising to 64.5 million in year two and 71.8 million in year three, effective September 1, 2025.

What it means for your bill: Upstate gas delivery rates are rising in three annual steps through 2028 under a plan far smaller than National Grid's original request.
