NYSEG is asking the PSC for about 464.4 million dollars more in annual electric revenue for the rate year ending April 30, 2027, a 35 percent jump in delivery revenue that the company says would add 33.12 dollars a month to a typical residential bill using 600 kWh. The Commission set temporary rates far below that request while evidentiary hearings ran through February and March 2026, and a final decision was still pending as of mid-2026.
What it means for your bill: NYSEG customers are paying a small temporary increase while regulators decide on a much larger rate request; the final number could still change substantially.
