Rate cases are decided by the New York Public Service Commission, which takes written comments on every docket and holds public hearings on the big ones. Comment deadlines and hearing dates are on each case page above when we have them. The office that argues for households in these cases is the Utility Intervention Unit, NY Department of State; its filings are the plain-English version of the utility's numbers.
