What this site is

Will My Bill Go Up? tracks publicly filed utility rate cases and related matters and shows what we have found about them, with sources. It is an informational service.

Accuracy

We work from public commission dockets, utility filings and published reporting, and we check entries on a regular schedule, but cases move, settlements change numbers, and we can be wrong or out of date. Nothing here is a substitute for the commission's own notice on a docket or the utility's own tariff.

Estimates

Dollar figures marked as estimates apply a published percentage to an average bill and are not a prediction of your bill. They are not financial, legal or engineering advice. Decisions about your utility service, comments to a commission, or switching suppliers are yours alone.

Independence

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any utility, commission, consumer advocate, supplier or advocacy group. Where a link carries a referral fee it is marked as such.

Use of the site

Do not scrape, crawl or systematically extract data from this site with automated tools, and do not run automated or bulk submissions against the lookup or alert forms. Reasonable personal use, quoting with attribution, and linking are welcome.

Alerts

Alerts are sent only to addresses that confirmed a signup. We may stop the alert service at any time.

Liability

The site is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the site.
