SDG&E asked the CPUC to approve about 148 million dollars in additional revenue to cover its forecast cost of purchasing power for 2026. This is a fuel cost pass through, not profit, but if approved as filed it would raise the average bundled residential bill using 400 kWh a month by about 23 dollars, or 15 percent. SDG&E has said the final bill impact could change because it depends on real time market prices.

What it means for your bill: This is the fuel and purchased power part of your SDG&E bill, which moves with wholesale power costs, separate from the base delivery rate.
