This is a separate, newer AES Ohio rate request from the company's 2024 case; it proposes distribution charge increases stretching from 2027 through 2029, and PUCO staff has recommended cutting the company's ask by roughly a third.
Rate cases are decided by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, which takes written comments on every docket and holds public hearings on the big ones. Comment deadlines and hearing dates are on each case page above when we have them. The office that argues for households in these cases is the Office of the Ohio Consumers' Counsel; its filings are the plain-English version of the utility's numbers.
