Xcel Energy Colorado asked to raise annual electric revenue by about 355 million dollars, roughly a 9.9 percent typical residential increase. A settlement backed by the company and PUC staff, but opposed by the Colorado Office of Utility Consumer Advocate and AARP, cut that to 225 million; the commission approved even less, about 157 million dollars, or 4.8 percent. For a typical residential customer using 601 kWh a month the bill rises from 104.91 to 109.92 dollars, effective August 29, 2026.
