The Oklahoma Corporation Commission approved OG&E's request for a 126.6 million dollar base rate increase, effective January 1, 2025, raising average residential bills by about 12.65 dollars a month, roughly 6.6 percent. Three Republican state lawmakers appealed the approval to the Oklahoma Supreme Court in December 2024, arguing the increase was too large; the rates took effect while that appeal was pending.
