Madison Gas and Electric's standard rate case for 2026 and 2027 was approved by state regulators through a unanimous settlement, raising a typical residential electric bill by only about 13 cents a month in 2026 but roughly 5.44 dollars a month more in 2027, plus higher natural gas charges, for a combined increase regulators put at about 31.3 million dollars. This general case set MGE's overall cost of service and was not specifically about data centers.
