Evergy filed a rate review on February 6, 2026 for its Missouri Metro (Kansas City area) customers, seeking about 137.9 million dollars in additional revenue, a 14.9 percent increase (plus 0.3 percent for fuel costs), which the company says works out to about 17.70 dollars more a month for a typical residential customer. Evergy says it already trimmed the request by 25 million dollars based on expected new revenue from data center customers coming online in 2026. If approved, new rates would take effect in January 2027.
