The Standard Offer, the default electricity supply price the PUC sets each year for CMP customers who have not chosen a competitive supplier, rose from 10.6128 cents to 12.721 cents per kWh effective January 1, 2026, about a 20 percent jump. For a typical household using 550 kWh a month, that works out to roughly 11 dollars more a month. This is the supply portion of the bill, so the extra revenue goes to power generators, not to CMP.
