Entergy Texas filed to raise base rates, excluding fuel, by an average of 11.2 percent across all customer classes and to recover purchased power capacity costs, seeking an 11.5 percent return on equity and about 198.7 million dollars a year in new revenue. For a typical residential customer using 1,000 kWh a month, the filing would raise the bill from 111.47 to 137.33 dollars, about 25.86 dollars, or 23.2 percent. This is Entergy Texas's first base rate case filing in years and remains pending before the PUCT.
