Duke Energy Indiana asked the IURC for about 492 million dollars in additional annual revenue, a roughly 16.2 percent increase. The commission decided the case on January 29, 2025 and authorized about 295.7 million dollars instead, below what Duke requested and above what the state consumer counselor recommended. The increase was phased in two steps, with roughly an 8 percent rise starting February 27, 2025 and a further step of about 3 percent in early 2026.
